Waterlase is the brand name for our high-tech dental technology that uses laser energy and a gentle spray of water to perform a range of dental procedures without the heat, vibration and pressure associated with the dental drill. With some procedures it’s possible to use less anesthetic–even no anesthetic at all–with this equipment versus using a drill.
More Precise
Using the laser we can remove decay far more precisely than with a drill. This saves more of the healthy parts of the tooth, reducing the risk having to later use bridges, dentures or implants. Cavity preparations with this tool can increase the bond strength of tooth-colored restoration. The result can be longer lasting fillings.
Less Bleeding And Swelling
Due to its conservative, precise and gentle cutting and coagulating capabilities, this equipment performs many procedures on the gums with much less bleeding. There is often less post-op swelling compared to using a traditional drill or scalpel.
